The Club was established during 2008 to teach and train learners on Entrepreneurship and Leadership development thus adding value to the school curricula. It is also envisaged that learners who take the Club’s teaching and training seriously will develop to become valuable members of their respective communities.
The Club was fortunate to gain recognition soon after its establishment. Our learners participated in an international music and business programme, Blastbeat. They established a fictitious company called Freestyle Records who eventually after months of hard work won the South African leg of the competition together with a company from Parel Valley High School in Somerset West. This group was awarded with the prize as runners-up at the World Finals in Dublin, Ireland. Our learners thus doing Manenberg High School proud by performing well on the global stage.
